Cuida la Tierra (Take care of the Land)

There is a beautiful phrase in Spanish that we would like to share with our readers, Cuida la Tierra which means Take Care of the Land. This reminds us that we are the parents and caretakers of  planet earth who must remember she needs us to protect her.  The precious land we stand on, the fresh air that we breathe, the warmth from the sun, and the purification from the water are daily benefits our planet  gives us every day. Without these elements life wouldn’t grow on our planet. It is our responsibility to protect our land, water systems and air.

Research shows that in the United States more than 60 million plastic water bottles are thrown away every day. Approximately 12% of those bottles get recycled and 80% end up in landfills across the country or as litter in America’s streets, parks, and waterways. Our eco-system is hurting and we must do our part and bring awareness to our communities about helping and taking care of our planet. Every little bit helps and will make a difference!  As we wrap up the celebration of earth month this April, let’s not forget our responsibilities in recycling, simplifying, and cleaning. Give back to our great land that gives endlessly to us. Cuida la Tierra !
